Peace Ministries
Mission Alive

Mission Alive

Overview

What
A formation process designed for the ministries to deepen their commitment to their own mission and to the Core Values of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace (CSJP). Mission Alive can be utilized by all the ministries despite their unique differences in mission, constituencies and size.

How
Engage ministry board of trustees, staff and employees to determine the ways in which the ministry’s mission and CSJP values are demonstrated and experienced in its policies and programs as well as in the daily behaviors, attitudes and actions of its staff, at all levels and functions within the ministry.

Why

  • Reinvigorate and deepen the ministry’s commitment to its mission and CSJP core values
  • Grow and deepen employee enthusiasm and engagement around mission and CSJP values
  • Advance and promote the ministry’s understanding of its mission and CSJP core values throughout the ministry
  • Name, affirm and build upon the ministry’s strengths; identify areas needing development and operational support
  • Further integrate the ministry’s mission and CSJP core values into the daily lived reality of the ministry
  • Responsibility of the sponsor (CSJP Congregation + Peace Ministries) to do so
  • Strengthen the ministry’s connection to its sponsor and to the other CSJP sponsored ministries

Who

  • Information gathering and initial analysis to be done as a self-reflection process by the leadership and staff members of the ministry in collaboration with the ministry board of trustees
  • The results will also be shared with members of the ministry (trustees, ministry leadership and staff, those served)
  • The results of the process will be shared with the Congregation Leadership Team and with Peace Ministries
  • There may be opportunities to share, as appropriate, with other ministries sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace

When
Process takes place every two years during which two Core Values will be considered.
